Action on Smoking and Health Scotland (ASH Scotland) is the independent Scottish health charity working for a Scotland free from the harm and inequality caused by tobacco – could you help us to achieve that vision?

Following a restructure, we are seeking to recruit this post to our Policy, Information and Communications Team.

If you are experienced in developing and communicating evidence-based policy, then we’d like to talk to you. This role will also include parliamentary liaison and communications with a wide range of audiences. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential for this post.

The ASH Scotland staff team of 19 employees is based in central Edinburgh. Our work is funded by grants from the Scottish Government, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and others. Our current organisational strategy prioritises improving mental health, reducing poverty, raising the next generation tobacco-free, culture change and driving action in partnership.

Following a restructure, we are seeking to recruit this post to our Policy, Information and Communications Team.

We are keen to hear from experienced researchers who can help support our evidence-based approach to policy and communications. Additionally, this role will be responsible for developing and delivering the information service we provide to partners and other audiences, researching, collating and disseminating information about latest developments in tobacco and other health harming commodities.

Top job! ASH Scotland seeks new Board Directors

Interested in joining the fight to reduce the health harm caused by tobacco? ASH Scotland, the national independent charity leading the fight, is seeking to recruit to our Board. In particular we seek people with skills and expertise in the following areas: legal; human resources; clinical/public health; health and income inequalities; and work with children and youth.

The Board meets four times a year at our offices in Edinburgh and there are two Board sub-committees which Directors can opt to join. Members of our Board are unpaid, but direct expenses can be claimed, and induction and support are provided.
