Wellbeing Scotland are a voluntary organisation with services across Scotland. We provide a wide range of holistic services for individuals and families whose life experiences have impacted negatively on their wellbeing. We offer client centred, holistic, trauma informed therapeutic services and have specialism in abuse and trauma work which has been built up since 1994. We work with both children and adults and have services in various areas of Scotland and are working towards providing support to individuals in all areas of Scotland. Wellbeing Scotland, offers a diverse range of support services in recognition of the wide range of experiences which may impact on an individual or their family in different ways, at different stages of their lives. The range of support offered ensures that we can offer individuals a support pathway which suits their individual needs. Our services are open ended, in recognition of the fact that every individual’s experience is different and unique to them as is their journey to recovery.

Wellbeing Scotland have developed an exciting new post which will be an essential part of our ongoing growth. The post-holder will:

  • Have responsibility for providing 1:1 clinical supervision to counselling staff, volunteers and trainees in line with Wellbeing Scotland supervision policy
  • Supporting Wellbeing Scotland counsellors to provide safe and effective clinical services
  • Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement within the organisation
  • Developing training internally and externally for the organisation

Wellbeing Worker

The role will be to build children and young people’s resilience through talking, listening and creative work, helping them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including their own anxiety, distress and issues relating to parental substance misuse, bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma. The role will involve collaboration and signposting to existing services across Stirling, providing advocacy and support to engage in programmes and approaches out with schools to promote wellbeing and thus address identified issues. The role will also involve development of the service.

Specialist Trauma Therapist

Wellbeing Scotland is a community based organisation working with impact on Wellbeing from life circumstances comprising a range of specialist services under the Wellbeing Scotland umbrella.

The role will be to deliver a service to survivors of childhood abuse in the Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders areas as part of our innovative service model. The role will involve offering counselling, advocacy, informal support and groupwork to trauma survivors. The role will involve development of the service and supporting volunteers.
