Do you want to help us transform lives through reading and writing? We’re looking for an outgoing and experienced events coordinator to help us take brilliant authors or illustrators to meet children across Scotland.

The School Communities team delivers a range of projects which encourage children and young people to engage with reading and writing including author touring and events, book prizes and awards for learning professionals, as well as creating high quality resources and professional development for teachers.

The team also run two Scottish Government-backed programmes; First Minister’s Reading Challenge and Read, Write, Count and support wider Scottish Book Trust programmes such as Book Week Scotland and Bookbug.
