About the Role:

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people within your service. You will manage and lead a team delivering quality housing support/accommodation and housing management service and to support people with multi-complex needs/homeless in crisis (and/or previously looked after or accommodated young people) to build their skills and confidence to sustain their own tenancy.

Main Responsibilities:

As Service Manager, you will:

  • Lead, manage and develop the staff team and others where appropriate (e.g. students, trainees etc.) to meet the objectives of the service, delegating tasks where appropriate.
  • Promote and encourage the professional development of staff, including onboarding, supervision, core competencies, in-house training and external training.
  • Ensure adequate staffing cover is provided for the service at all times by appropriate shift rotas and deployment of employees, both permanent and relief.
  • Manage all aspects of the service in line with Blue Triangle, statutory and legislative requirements and take a lead role in the strategic development of the service.

About You:

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you’ll work as part of a team in providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for the people who use our services. You’ll do this by providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives.

Blue Triangle, along with the ADP and the health and social care partnership are collaborating on a joint project focussed on wellbeing and recovery for supported people in East Ayrshire.

The objective of the project is to support the recovery pathway for individuals who are either exiting residential rehabilitation or community recovery programmes, who are in need of additional support within a housing support environment.

Supported people will enter the service post detox with a view to re-connecting with family, friends and their local communities. They will explore options around education, training, employment and health.

Main Responsibilities:

This Support Worker at Dalmelington is looking for both day and night workers, working on a rolling rota. These roles are 36 hours per week. The Support Worker will:

  • work as part of a team providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people.
  • support, review, monitor and evaluate through our case management system, to achieve a positive person-centred outcome for the people we work with in line with organisational, statutory and legislative requirements.
  • maintain and update all recording systems and documentation in line with relevant policies, procedures and practice guidelines, including the occupancy agreement, within required timeframes.
  • provide, plan and facilitate key work meetings, key work sessions, meetings, reviews and other internal/external meetings in conjunction with the person’s support plan.
  • provide general advocacy and advice to the people we support, including assistance to enable them to meet the conditions of their occupancy agreements.

About the Role:

As a Housing Assistant, you’ll work as part of a team in providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for the people who use our services. You’ll do this by providing the highest possible quality of housing management service to our supported people to ensure they are able to sustain their tenancy.

Main Responsibilities:

This Housing Assistant role working at Renfrew involves working on a rota covering various shifts. This role involves working 28 hours per week, on a nightshift basis with some weekend work. The Housing Assistant will:

  • maintain and update all recording systems and documentation in line with relevant policies, procedures and practice guidelines, including the occupancy agreement, within required timeframes.
  • ensure the health and wellbeing of supported people by safeguarding, carrying out risk assessments and following policies and procedures
  • ensure that all referrals, admissions and discharges are administered in line with local procedures.

The positions will be an intensive Floating Support Role, based within the North Lanarkshire area and supporting service users referred by North Lanarkshire Council, Homes First Team who may be in other temporary accommodation or in their own tenancy where this intense support may prevent them from losing this accommodation.

The service users will come from the harder to engage group and be case managed by North Lanarkshire Council Homes First Team, whilst intensely supported by BTHA, Simon Community and Barnardos.

Working to Blue Triangle’s values, vision and mission, you will provide a wide range of flexible intensive support to encourage independence for people to maintain and sustain a tenancy and adapt to a community life and become a valued member within their communities.

You will provide a high-quality service compatible to the assessed needs of each individual to identify, plan and facilitate intensive support, enabling appropriate all-round tailored support for the people we work with.

This is a temporary role until 31/3/24.
