Sleep Scotland is a charity for children and young people with additional support needs and sleep problems. As our Chair or as a Board member you would contribute to achieving or aims by overseeing our strategic development and direction. The Board meetings are run every 2 months for 2 hours in Edinburgh.

Telephone Sleep Advisor

With a National Lottery Community Grant Fund, Sleep Scotland has been running a Sleep Support Line since 2017. We provide advice, guidance, and support for parents and guardians of children and young people with sleep problems through telephone calls and emails. We are looking to recruit a Tier 1 Telephone Sleep Advisor to the team.

As a Tier 1 Telephone Sleep Advisor you would provide general sleep support and advice over the phone to the parents and guardians of typically developing children and young people with sleep problems. By listening to the parent/carer on the telephone, you will work to provide ideas and suggestions to improve the situation e.g. a good bedtime routine, gradual withdrawal techniques, action required in the middle of the night etc. Knowledge of sleep is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
