Whiteinch Centre is a community facility owned by the community of Whiteinch, in the name of Whiteinch Community Association. Membership of Whiteinch Community Association is open to all local residents of Whiteinch.
Based in the Whiteinch Centre and reporting to the Volunteer and Learning Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will have experience in digital marketing, finance tasks and administration services.
The ideal candidate will be instinctively customer focused, with an interest in working with community groups and stakeholders. They will be a highly motivated team player with a positive attitude; ensuring our customers’ experience of our service remains positive.

The purpose built Whiteinch Centre (TWC) is located at the very heart of the community. It was created in response to community aspirations, and an identified need for a local hub that could act as a “one-stop shop” for local people allowing them to feel included, connected and engaged. TWC provides a range of services and clubs and acts as a Community Hub to groups that support local people towards positive outcomes.
Reporting to the Whiteinch Centre Limited Board, the successful candidate will be responsible for the running of the centre and continuation of its projects as well as developing new services to meet the needs of the Community. The Centre Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Whiteinch Centre and should be able to demonstrate their experience of running a similar facility. You will have line management responsibility of staff and volunteers within the Centre.

The Whiteinch Centre is a valuable, multi-use community hub facility based in the centre of Whiteinch Glasgow. After a long period of closure due to lockdown we are now looking ahead to the coming year and seeking to develop and re-establish our myriad community activities, training & wellbeing services within the Centre.
At the heart of our future development sits our café and kitchen training facility and we are seeking to recruit a skilled Catering Manager (25-28hrs per week) to help us develop our Café & Kitchen training facility over the coming year.
Overall Job Purpose
To supervise and organise daily operations of the Whiteinch Training kitchen & cafe including motivating staff and volunteers to provide excellent food and customer service.
