Liber8 provides a range of services incorporating, counselling, support and mentoring services and we are looking for an empathetic, genuine and efficient individual to join our administration team. Liber8 works with many vulnerable often apprehensive people and their welfare is of paramount importance, therefore the post holder should be compassionate and efficient, putting clients and visitors at ease.
The post is focussed in providing administrative support to project and service staff, volunteers and students, using all available technology and resources. The post holder will often be the first point of contact to the public, clients and practitioners and partner agencies. They will undertake a range of administrative duties to facilitate service delivery and be responsible for data collection and maintenance of record keeping systems.
The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and have experience of database and electronic filing systems. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team in a busy confidential service is essential.
Relationships are at the heart of everything that we do, and the Administrative Assistants will have daily contact with others within the team, as well as with key partners within our field of work. This role will require good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to adopt a flexible approach in response to new challenges.

What is the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Co-ordinator , working 35 hours per week.
Primary location: Motherwell, however you will be expected to cover all areas of Lanarkshire (Hamilton court, Airdrie court, Lanark court, Motherwell and Paisley court and community) locality.
Reporting directly to a Locality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring, within your Service(s), that VSS’s local service development and delivery plan is being implemented within your geographical area(s). Service delivery is provided by a team of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers, you will be responsible for planning their deployment to ensure that the service delivered meets the desired outcomes of victims and witnesses of crime, our service users. Responsible for all aspects of a volunteer engagement with VSS at your services, including recruitment, induction, learning and development, ongoing performance management and support. Contributing to business planning and co-ordination ensuring that continuous learning takes place to monitor that the outcomes of service users are being met.

What you’ll need to be successful
We are looking for someone who is experienced in a similar role and can evidence of continuing professional development, effective leadership style, able to build confidence, motivate and improve performance. Good working knowledge of the voluntary/charity sector is required, as is a willingness to be flexible in working hours and able to travel as required.

Muirshiel Centre (Adult Day Care) was established in 1991 as a local charity (Registered Charity No sco18185) and is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors who represent our local community. The Centre’s day to day operations overseen by a service manager supported by a staff team of professionally trained individuals dedicated to the care and support of our service users. We are committed to providing a quality, responsive day services that meet the needs of older people with support needs residing in East Inverclyde (Port Glasgow).
The Centre caters for a wide range of individuals including those who are frail / elderly, those who are socially isolated, are living with dementia, anxiety or depression, learning disabilities or those with mental ill-health.
