As the Executive Officer at Forth Valley Advocacy you will join us at an exciting time in our development as we continue to deliver a recently extended contract for Independent Advocacy services in the Forth Valley area, currently extended until October 2024 with the option of extension to October 2025. This is a crucial post which will allow Forth Valley Advocacy to continue to provide high quality and person led Independent Advocacy services across the Forth Valley area.
As the Executive Officer, you will manage a team of energetic and enthusiastic Advocacy Workers, Team leader and Service Adminstrator. You will build strong partnerships with our funders, our referrers, external organisation, local communities and our colleagues in the NHS and Local Authorities. You will be the public face of Forth Valley Advocacy.
You will report and be accountable to the Chair and the Board of Trustees.
You will bring enthusiasm and leadership skills to the organisation during this exciting period of growth.
At present our office base is in Falkirk but hybrid working arrangements are in place, allowing for some working from home.

The successful candidate will play a senior and supervisory role in the operation of our Esmond Street Service: a 22 place supported living project for older people with learning disability and/or complex needs. The successful applicant will have experience of support planning and review systems, and will be in a position to work on a shift-rota basis. She/he will have experience in a supported living setting, the ability to work on their own initiative, and have a positive, empowering and flexible approach to the support of people with learning disabilities. The post requires the successful candidate to be involved in the supervision and development of the staff team; including training, developing systems, mentoring and auditing. The Advice Line service is a free and confidential helpline that supports people living with our conditions to ensure that live no life is half lived.
The role of the Living Well Coordinator is to manage and develop a team of living well volunteers who will provide a telephone support service to people affected by our conditions who are experiencing issues affecting their well-being.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a minimum of a diploma in counselling - achieved at a validated facility by a recognized professional body.

The role of the Advice Line Lead Coordinator is to manage and develop a team of Advice Line Coordinators and Volunteers ensuring high quality and effective service delivery.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a qualification in Health or Social care and/or evidence of demonstrable experience within health and social care settings and who has experience /skills in a management role. Management qualification desirable but not essential.
