Fast Forward is Scotland’s national youth work agency, focusing on supporting children & young people to make informed choices regarding, and take a harm reduction approach to, risk-taking behaviours, towards reducing the negative impacts of these on their lives and those of their families and wider community.

Going Forward Project Background
Since May 2017, the Going Forward Project has worked with partner organisations to deliver workshop sessions to vulnerable and at-risk young people in formal and informal education settings.

Youth Participation
In line with United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), Fast Foward is committed to developing our children and young people's participation work. We want children and young people's experiences, opinions and suggestions to shape all aspects of our work.
This role will play a key part in supporting this development, embedding a child rights approach to our work. This will include developing our children and young people's Shadow Board.
The Butterfly Trust is the lead agency providing social support for people affected by Cystic Fibrosis throughout Scotland. We provide a comprehensive and diverse range of outreach services for all ages of people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families across Scotland.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and approachable individual to join our team, with an appropriate skillset to add value and who has a commitment to continued professional development. We will provide both in-house and external training to ensure all of our team develop their skills and knowledge to fulfil their role to the best of their ability.
The Children & Families Manager will be responsible for the delivery of services for children affected by Cystic Fibrosis and their carers. This will include providing support and supervision to our team of volunteer befrienders.
The role is based in our Edinburgh office but will involve travelling throughout Scotland to visit service users, provide support to volunteers and meet with specialist NHS Cystic Fibrosis team in hospitals.
The Children & Families Manager will be part of a team, which collectively provides support that ensures best outcomes for people living with Cystic Fibrosis.
The successful candidate will have good communication, problem-solving and organisational skills and they will be able to motivate others and work with people at all levels.
Full driving licence and a car is essential.
For this regulated work the successful candidate will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership which will be paid for by the Trust.

We are looking for an experienced Community Engagement & Fundraising Officer to join our team to promote our organisation and its work by helping to raise awareness of FDAMH, its services and support income generation. Provan Hall is an A listed medieval building located in Auchinlea Park, which sits at the heart of Easterhouse. The building has undergone a £2m restoration by Glasgow City Council that will safeguard this important heritage asset as a new hub for heritage learning and engagement, and a visitor gateway to the Seven Lochs Wetland Park.
Following its restoration, Provan Hall is managed and operated by the Provan Hall Community Management Trust. The aim of the Trust is to engage and inspire local people to value and take part in caring for their local heritage. We aim to provide opportunities that connect local people and visitors to Provan Hall through inclusive and creative means of heritage interpretation and activities.
Provan Hall Community Management Trust were awarded a grant by the National Lottery Community Awards for All fund to initiate a youth programme at Provan Hall. Following on from the success of this project, we have been awarded a grant by The Graham Trust and The Robertson Trust. These grant enables us to focus a programme of engagement with young people aged 5 – 24 across Easterhouse, Glasgow. The postholder will coordinate a programme of activities for young people to inspire enthusiasm and develop participation in our organisation. The post holder will further develop our current connections with local youth groups and initiate new ones across the wider area, furthering young people’s involvement in Provan Hall and our organisation. The role will include coordinating with our project partners, developing youth forums, liaising with freelance professionals, staff and supervising volunteers. This is a maternity leave post initially covering 9 months of maternity leave but may extend to 12 months.

Our Activity Centres provide innovative and person-centred services and support to veterans struggling with sight loss. This job exists in order to provide tailored support to veterans carrying out woodworking projects. You will work alongside the veterans to identify abilities, share ideas and plan projects within the activity Centre. You will ensure that the support provided is person-centred, tailored to their needs and is the right support for them. You will support the leadership team to coordinate and manage the activities provided within and from the Activity Centre which will support the overall wellbeing of the veterans and their families. This is a new and exciting project as we extend the work we do in health care settings. A partnership between Glasgow North West and Greater Pollok CAB, we are looking to recruit an experienced adviser to deliver advice to patients of Stobhill and New Victoria Hospitals in Glasgow.
In direct response to demand, the new project will provide both an outreach service located in the Support and Information Service space within each hospital, as well as a direct referral pathway between NHS partners and the CABx to allow patients to access support using a method that best suits their needs. As a brand-new project, the candidate will be empowered and supported to develop partnerships with the relevant NHS teams and help design the service.
The focus will be on the people who may be in financial crisis, the reduction of poverty and supporting clients to have more control over their finances. We are looking for client-focused individuals with experience of providing income maximisation as part of overall holistic advice and support. In this role you will see clients in person, as well as providing advice via telephony, email and digital channels ensuring clients they get the advice, information and support needed.
To succeed, you will need relevant experience and knowledge of current welfare benefits together with the ability to analyse the client’s overall financial position and offer early intervention advice and support.
There will be strong emphasis on team working and the ability to work effectively and closely with other agencies and health care professionals.
You will have strong oral and written communication skills. We are also looking for a proven ability to work effectively and well organised. Proficiency in using a range of IT tools to carry out your work, including case management systems, benefit calculators, online forms and Microsoft Office applications is essential.
