We are looking for a unique individual who can provide person- centred support for those individuals living with dementia who attend our Day Care centre in Midlothian and Community Activity Groups.
Supporting individuals to keep connected to their communities, engage in their interests and hobbies and access peer support. Working during weekdays, the use of a car is essential (mileage and expenses are paid).
A flexible approach is essential, so you will have the ability and willingness to cover sessions in a planned way due to annual leave, training, or last minute cover.
Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia. You will also have good communication skills and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn and participate in training (including SVQ’s) and registration with the SSSC is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator, who is comfortable with financial information and developing spreadsheets. You will support the services with general and financial administrative tasks, as well as being the first point of contact for enquiries via phone and email. You will have administrative experience gained through working within a busy office or social care environment. You will be experienced working with Microsoft Office packages including Excel and be able to create spreadsheets and deal with numerical information. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will work 20 hours per week across the two services, and there may be an opportunity to work some of your days from home.
You will ideally have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or equivalent experience.

Options Fife Respite and Outreach provides a range of flexible support through outreach and overnight short breaks at weekends, evenings and school holidays to children and young people with complex learning disabilities and autism. We are looking to recruit two Young People’s Worker Nights, working four nights on (10 hours per night) every second week. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring that the young people you work with have the best possible experience in working towards their objectives in line with their care plan, supporting children to progress within their individual outcomes. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role, where the work we do has a demonstrable impact on each young person's progress. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care. We support young people who have epilepsy, need personal care and need gastrostomy feeding. Aberlour, in conjunction with NHS, provides all staff with training.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with young people with disabilities. It is desired but not essential that candidates hold a relevant qualification at an SCQF level 7 or above. Scottish Recovery Network are seeking to recruit a Learning and Development Facilitator who will work with colleagues and partners to develop, pilot and embed peer support learning opportunities across Scotland. This person will play a key role in enabling peer support groups and services to train new and existing workers and volunteers. A significant part of the role will be fostering new and existing relationships to create opportunities for practice development and progression in peer support.
You will be confident at all stages of the learning and development cycle; needs analysis, design, facilitation and evaluation.

TalkTime Scotland is a unique charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 12-25 who are either physically disabled or have a long-term physical health condition, through free weekly sessions of face-to-face or online counselling. Description of Post
The appointed counsellor will be self-employed and insured and will provide person-centred supportive counselling for between 1-4 hours per week. Hours will vary depending on the number of clients and it is envisaged that this work will be in addition to the counsellor’s current workload. Hours are flexible and are by mutual agreement. The rate of pay is £35 per session. A retainer fee of £35 per week will be paid if no sessions are available.
Location
Clients are seen face-to-face at our base at Norton Park, 57 Albion Rd, Edinburgh EH7 5QY. Ideally, the counsellor would live or work within reasonable distance of this location. Clients may also request online or telephone counselling.
Responsible to
The counsellor will be responsible to the Trustees of the charity.
Confidentiality and Record Keeping
The counsellor will be responsible for documenting, maintaining and storing client records consistent with all legal, ethical and professional requirements.

Any successful candidate will be offered support in how to work with young physically disabled people and also the opportunity to share experiences through peer support with other counsellors working for the Charity. About the Role
You will be responsible for coordinating our Consultation, Collaboration & Training (CCT) programme, which is Tripod’s income generating arm. As a non-profit, we offer training, facilitation,and other support on request to funded organisations using a sliding scale, to enable us to offer support to grassroots groups and movements with fewer financial resources. Due to high demand, one of our areas of focus for the coming years will be anti-racism training for white and mixed-race teams. As a worker-led cooperative, each member of staff also takes responsibility for Tripod’s smooth organisational functioning as we move towards our purpose together.
Co-Directorship
This role will involve an interim period of 8 months. This will be an opportunity for us to review how we have been working together and decide if you and Tripod are a good fit. This will also enable us to decide together if you should become a Full Member of the workers' cooperative which would involve being legally registered as a Director and participating fully in overall strategic and organisational decision making.

Experience of recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and of working (paid or unpaid) in an advice or information service is important, as is understanding of good practice and the legal aspects of volunteering. Effective verbal and written communication and commitment to the mission, aims and teamwork ethos of Dalkeith CAB are essential.
Glasgow Women’s Aid provides information, support and temporary accommodation for women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. We have refuge accommodation, follow on services and outreach services both for women and children across Glasgow.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all of our sites are maintained to a good standard of repair and decoration. We have several refuge sites across Glasgow and you will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance work gets carried out. You will carry out minor DIY tasks yourself such as building flat pack furniture, fitting curtains and hanging pictures so that our properties are ready for families to move in. You will provide support where special cleans are required and ensure that there is adequate stock of everything we need to make refuge a home. This is a very busy role and the successful candidate will have great customer service skills and a proactive attitude. As we have several sites it is essential that you have a drivers license to drive our van.
