We have a tremendous opportunity for a People and Culture Manager to join the association in a newly created role, to shape, develop and support the implementation of our People and Culture strategy.
While upholding Ayrshire Housing’s values, the successful candidate will have a track record of providing comprehensive, professional, and efficient generalist HR support services. They will also be key in helping the association achieve their business objectives by coaching and supporting managers with people management issues, delivering HR projects, and identifying and resolving key HR issues. This will include the ongoing development of management team members in understanding and leading with best practice in terms of managing staff as well as ensuring the organisation has robust and effective processes for recruitment, induction, training, and the wellbeing of all staff.

About Options Ayrshire
Our Service is a busy respite service for children and young people with complex health needs, including severe learning and physical disabilities. As well as providing short residential breaks, the service offers outreach to families and is also involved in the managing and running of an after-school club as well as a busy Easter and summer playscheme.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit to our Summer playscheme programme. Our playscheme runs 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, during the school holidays. You will work flexible hours as part of a team providing a programme of fun-filled activities and outings. Some previous experience in this area is preferred. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and work hard are essential. To allow us to provide a consistent, quality service it is desirable that applicants commit to working up to 5 days per week during the summer school holidays for a minimum of 12 hours per week. There will be an opportunity to work additional hours up to full time hours. Days will be given in advance. Our playschemes run in both Ayr and Girvan and staff may be expected to work at both sites. Mandatory training dates for staff will be arranged during the month of June before the commencement of the playscheme.

Ayr Housing Aid Centre (now SCIO) was established in 1986 following a Shelter homeless conference. The project is governed by the Board consisting of dedicated, committed people passionate about helping those in housing need. The Board provide direction, expertise and oversee the Centre’s work. As Trustees step down we recruit new Trustees with a commitment to our aims and objectives of providing quality advice and engagement services to those in housing need while alleviating poverty. Our commitment includes positively campaigning for local and national change and new legislative measures to improve the lives of those we help. There is no greater housing need than having no home!
The Centre has been contracted with South Ayrshire Council for many years to provide Advice and Homeless Prevention Services. Our current Contract cycle is 2021-25 and includes a Prison Housing Advice service for East and South Ayrshire Council. The Centre often seeks additional funding to complement our core Council services to meet additional demand and reach out to more people in need. We also generate income to support our work through providing housing related training and fundraising. The Centre’s Advice services are accredited under the Scottish National Standards and Housing Support service is regulated by the Care Inspectorate.
AHAC are looking to appoint a new Treasurer to join our volunteer Board. The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing financial processes and obligations including ensuring the organisation remains compliant with meeting its legal and constitutional requirements through robust financial policies, procedures and processes. You will be supported by the Chairperson, Vice-Chair and liaise regularly with key management staff and our Accountants to oversee the charity finances and processes.

The newly formed Patna Action Group Ltd (PAG) is establishing the role of Development Officer to catalyse and support community activity in Patna. Purpose
This role will support the delivery and development projects and priorities in the area, building on the ideas and energy of local residents.
The Development Officer will be directly involved in supporting and encouraging community activity, community capacity building, and the formation of community groups. The Development Officer will also be responsible for working with residents and groups to turn community aspirations into successfully delivered community projects.
The post holder will support the development of a new Community Action Plan and support community consultation to identify and prioritise actions for the community. In the short term, a review of potential community-owned assets will be a key function for the post as will identifying and securing funding for projects, asset acquisition and improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team delivering vital support to vulnerable women, children and young people in East Ayrshire. You do not need to know everything there is to know about domestic abuse, but we do need to know that you are reliable and committed to our principles and values.
The position is voluntary, but we will provide you with training and support and pay your expenses. We meet at least six times a year, usually on Saturday mornings. We welcome applications from women from all sections of the community.
