• Has strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to work closely with the people we support, their families and teams, as well as multidisciplinary partners, to support and sustain the highest standards of practice.

• Is able to confidentially role model excellent practice in line with our values, through a thriving community of practice leaders and positive behaviour practitioners as well as contribute to external networks and initiatives.

• Has strong project management and IT skills to support the implementation of effective processes, systems and tools which measure and demonstrate the impact of our strategies.

You will have a recognised social care or relevant professional qualification and while a recognised PBS/BILD qualification would be advantageous, this is not essential as we will offer support to attain this.

We are currently recruiting a small team of female support staff to support “Pam” from her family home. Pam is 31 and has severe cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. Pam also has a really good sense of humour, and her support will be provided during the day and on evenings. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude and commitment towards making a difference to the lives of the people we support.

We will support Pam with many aspects of her life including personal care (once Pam feels comfortable with her new team), emotional support, and assisting Pam in putting her recent person-centred plan into action. Pam greatly values attending concerts when her favourite bands are touring. She is also very passionate about campaigning for change in the experience of people with a physical disability when attending concert venues and is developing her use of Eye Gaze technology to greatly enhance her ability to communicate with people and organisations. As a Support Worker you will join our well-established team in Faifley working with people to provide high quality individualised support to adults and young people who have a range of support needs or disabilities across Faifley, Clydebank and surrounding areas. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude and commitment towards making a difference to the lives of the people we support.

On a day-to-day basis we support people with all aspects of their lives including personal care, taking care of their home and finances as well as developing and maintaining full and active participation in the community. A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential and experience of working with people with learning disabilities is desirable.

We have a variety of posts available including specific posts to provide support in relation to waking night shifts. We are currently recruiting within our Dumbarton Service to support to support a woman “Pam” to move from her family home into her own flat in Dumbarton.

We will support Pam 24 hours a day with all aspects of her life including personal care, taking care of her home and finances as well as developing and maintaining full and active participation in the community. Pam enjoys art and crafts, bingo, and music. She also enjoys going to the hairdressers and getting her nails done. Pam requires support as she has a learning disability and uses a wheelchair.

Pam has her own car to support her to lead a full and active life in the community, so drivers are particularly welcome to apply.

A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential and experience of working with people with learning disabilities is desirable.
