We are a charity that advances knowledge, practice and policy in health and social care for the benefit of people with learning disabilities or other support needs such as autism, mental health problems, sensory and physical disabilities.

We engage with hundreds of professionals and people who receive support to improve practice and influence change to help people to have richer and fuller lives.  We facilitate forums for provider organisations in 8 local authority areas and lead influential national networks like the National Involvement Network, Scottish Transitions ForumandSupporting Offenders with Learning Disabilities (SOLD) network.

Administrative Assistant

ARC Scotland Training offers regulated and mandatory qualifications to those working within the Health & Social Care sector. An exciting opportunity exists for an administration assistant to join our training team. This part-time position is well suited for an individual wishing to work flexibly from home and office. Our training department is based in Eskbank, Midlothian and within easy commuting distance by public transport.

This position would suit someone who is highly organised and able to build positive working relationships both with internal and external parties.

The successful postholder will work closely with the Training Manager and Training Administrator to process SVQ applications often providing a first point of contact for the organisation to any potential business or enquiries.

In conjunction with the Training Administrator you will contribute to the development and delivery of our administration processes ensuring the effective delivery of our services.

Knowledge of SVQ regulated qualifications within the Health & Social Care sector is advantageous but not essential.

The successful postholder will be proficient in Microsoft programmes and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Offering a starting salary of £20871(pro rata) this is an ideal opportunity to work with a dedicated team offering high quality training to those providing support within the Health & Social Care sector.
