You will manage a small team providing tenancy support and delivering group work and 1 to 1 in our city centre office base.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for securing registration with the Care Inspectorate and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility. Your leadership will inspire a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering stakeholder engagement.

Your journey begins with supporting the development of our brand-new service in Alford, West Aberdeenshire. From recruiting staff to preparing for the grand opening, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of addiction recovery in Scotland.

You will be supported and guided by the Operations Lead for the North East Scotland and you will provide leadership and management to deputy managers (who in turn will manage the staff teams) and a nurse. This role is the figurehead of the service on-site, and balances the ongoing service provision with regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.

Phase one of the role will involve supporting the Operations Lead and wider colleagues with the development of a brand-new service on the site, in the village of Alford, Aberdeenshire. Contractors are currently undertaking a 26-week building programme to bring the property up to specification and readiness to open. As part of your role, you will also be responsible for the ongoing development of the service to meet resident and stakeholder needs

You will lead on the implementation of the programme, plus the recruitment of the staff team, and preparing the service for opening, with the support of experienced internal teams across the charity.

As a partner working to promote your services, it will be essential for you to align efforts with your organisation's goals, whilst ensuring both quality and financial targets are met.

Our state-of-the-art facility will offer 27 beds for individuals seeking transformative recovery journeys. As the Team Manager, you will work across the 6 localities of North Lanarkshire. We have an office base in Coatbridge and deliver interventions across the locality. You will work closely with the Service Manager and supervise the staff team in order to maintain a high standard for the people that access our service. You will ensure that any concerns relating to safeguarding and risk are appropriately managed as well as ensuring that adequate data is collected and reported on. You will represent the service across North Lanarkshire and will build on the excellent working relationships we have with many partners.

Phoenix Futures is dedicated to helping individuals, families and communities recover from drug and alcohol problems.

Over the last fifty years we have grown from a single pioneering residential service to a national organisation with over 60 services across housing, community, prison and residential settings delivering abstinence based, abstinence oriented and harm reduction approaches.

We are looking for individuals who share our passion for recovery that in turn motivates people with substance misuse to realise their own recovery. We know families, friends and carers need hope, care and guidance just as much as their loved ones.

As a trustee you will, along with other Board members, have a key role in supporting the work Phoenix Futures through involvement with strategy formulation and monitoring, risk management and internal control.

All Board members are expected to attend all Board meetings (5 times a year). Board meetings are usually held in at our services in Glasgow and Saltcoats, it is an expectation that all Board members visit services throughout the year. There may be some overnight stays required to facilitate these visits.

Phoenix Futures does not remunerate Board members but out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.

Housing Manager

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Phoenix Futures Scotland team and lead our Glasgow based Housing Services, as Housing Manager.

As a specialist addiction recovery charity and housing association, we have developed considerable expertise in the provision of housing to support our clients at all stages of their recovery. You will manage the day to day running of our existing housing services and lead your team to ensure high quality recovery focused delivery in accordance with legislation and governing bodies including the Care Inspectorate and commissioner targets.

You will have experience of working with people with multiple needs including addiction, and have a working knowledge of housing standards and processes. Having experience of developing and nurturing partnerships to ensure robust pathways and support are in place to ensure our clients needs are fully met. The Glasgow Housing service currently provides ongoing aftercare support for individuals on completion of a range of residential rehabilitation stays, and therefore you will assist all clients in sustaining long-term recovery.

You will be a positive, innovative and motivational leader who will work collaboratively as part of the Scotland Management Team to support Phoenix Futures Scotland Housing growth targets. As well as being able to ensure occupancy targets are met and compliance with budgeting and financial policy and procedures.

The Role

Your role in our therapeutic community will be key. You’ll manage a caseload, assess the people who use our service and manage their recovery/care plans. It will mean developing and applying a range of therapeutic approaches to meet their individual needs, whether that’s employment, education, health etc. You’ll be the one who sees that everything is coordinated from the moment they’re referred to us to the time that they move home.

As a Therapeutic Worker, you will support individuals accessing the residential rehabilitation programme to achieve outcomes that help create long-term recovery. Using the Therapeutic Community “community as method” model you will empower individuals, families and communities to be confident about recovery.

You will support the day to day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring service user needs are met and the best possible care is provided in an environment that promotes a culture of recovery. Whilst also being confident to deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialist interventions in accordance with the TC manual and the needs of the service.

Previous experience is desirable, however not essential. Therapeutic Workers come from many different backgrounds and experiences, and you may have the skills required. We are seeking dedicated individuals, based on your values, willingness to learn new skills and the compassion to deliver the best service possible to our residents.

This is a full-time role averaging 37.5 hours per week. You will be expected to work a rolling rota which includes evening and weekend working.

About You

You will need:

  • An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
  • Experience of working with families, and individuals in the substance use sector or related field.
  • The ability to be innovative and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
  • Be able to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
  • Knowledge of adult and child protection is essential as you will be working with vulnerable families in a residential setting.
