We have an exciting part-time, job share opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team in Big Noise Govanhill (Glasgow).

You will support the Head of Centre, and as part of the Big Noise Govanhill Senior Team, to ensure high quality procedures, processes and operational functions are embedded to maximise the success of the programme. A skilled project manager, you will also have experience of working with communities and volunteers, and will have a passion for music, along a belief in the benefits that a social programme such as Big Noise / Sistema Scotland can have.

This is a permanent part-time job share post, working 21 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, with flexibility to work either 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm.

Big Noise Raploch are looking for notes of interest for a new and exciting Modern Apprenticeship opportunity.

The post will be based in Raploch and Fallin in Stirling and will provide you with the opportunity to work towards an SVQ 2 (SCQF Level 5) in Business Administration, while gaining paid, on the job work experience within an office environment.

As a Modern Apprentice, you will work within the Big Noise Raploch & Fallin Team and duties will include general clerical and administrative support including diary management, word-processing, photocopying and circulating correspondence. You will also assist with social media posts for Big Noise Raploch & Fallin.

We are looking for someone with good communication and organisational skills, who has at least a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). You will have an interest in working within a busy office environment and will be flexible and able to adapt to working on a variety of administrative tasks.

You should be willing to commit to working towards a Modern Apprenticeship SVQ Level 2 in Business & Administration.

This is a temporary post for 18 months to allow for the completion of the SVQ Level 2 Qualification.

This role is a key support for the finance function, helping ensure smooth processes in finance and administration. It’s a varied and rewarding position where attention to detail, numeracy, comfort with finance and other information systems and ensuring good administrative processes will be vital to success. The Finance Administrator needs to be approachable and patient, willing to spend time explaining the formalities of adhering to financial processes to non-financial staff and where necessary offering them assistance.

You will hold a relevant qualification at HNC or SVQ level 3 (or equivalent), with experience of working in an office administrative role. As part of the Finance team and working alongside a part-time Finance Officer, you will be jointly responsible for overseeing and maintaining the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, ensuring all aspects of financial management are delivered timely and accurately and compliant with relevant regulations. This role is varied and rewarding, requiring high levels of numeracy, accuracy and diplomacy. You will be expected to liaise with individuals at all levels across the organisation to educate and ensure the adherence to internal financial policies and procedures.

Part Qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience, you will be working, or have worked at Finance Officer level, with experience of working with accounting software and designing financial reports and variance/exception analysis. You will have strong knowledge of key financial controls and experience of identifying and implementing improvements in systems, procedures and processes. In addition, you will have experience of supporting payroll processes. We are excited to be launching our fifth Big Noise centre in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh and this is a unique opportunity to join the programme to lead, manage and deliver Big Noise Wester Hailes.

We are looking for an inspirational and visionary musician and leader to establish the Big Noise programme in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh. You will ideally be a string player but we will consider exceptional applications from non-string players.

The following must be demonstrable both on your application form and during the selection process:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • People management experience and leading teams
  • Professional standard of playing on your instrument and knowledge of all orchestral instruments
  • Excellent knowledge of beginner level teaching techniques
  • Sound knowledge of variety of music teaching methodologies
  • Working with children in a music education and/or community/music context
  • Delivering instrumental lessons, including to young children and beginners, in individual, small and large group settings

Sistema Scotland is seeking to recruit a dynamic and proactive Personal Assistant who will support the Chief Executive Officer to enable children and families to benefit from the pioneering Big Noise programmes.

You will provide comprehensive Personal Assistant support to the Chief Executive Officer, as well as general administrative and secretarial support to the leadership team, wider central team and to the Board, as required. You will have experience of providing personal assistant support to senior members of staff, which will include minute taking, coordinating action trackers, desk-based research and report writing.

As well as having first class PA and administrative skills, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of people and have a passion and commitment to inclusive practice.

This is a permanent post, working 4 or 5 days per week and the role forms part of the central team. The head office is based in Raploch, Stirling, with some flexibility for home working (staff are currently working from home due to Scottish Government guidance).

You will support the Senior Team and Operations Manager at Big Noise Torry by providing excellent administrative support, procedures and processes to ensure the continued success and growth of the programme. You will also have face to face engagement with adults and children at after-school club, ensuring a smooth-running signing in and out procedure.

You will be an experienced administrator, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high pressure workload. You will lead on general communications with parents, so you must also be an effective communicator with both adults and children.

This post is offered on the basis of 20 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 9.00 am – 2.30 pm (with a half hour lunch break) during school term time only.

Sistema Scotland is seeking to recruit a passionate Fundraising Officer to join its highly successful fundraising team, enabling children and families to benefit from the pioneering Big Noise programmes.

You will be a key player in our skilled and experienced fundraising team, maximising income from funders by preparing innovative and compelling applications and reports. You will maintain excellent relationships with funders and partners, meeting all application and reporting deadlines and ensuring that funders are kept fully engaged and informed on developments within the organisation.

Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience), you will have experience of raising significant income for charities, and composing convincing applications to trusts and foundations. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of managing relationships with funders and stakeholders. Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and Access thankQ (or a similar fundraising CRM), are also essential.

This is a permanent post, working 2.5 days a week (working pattern to be agreed). The role forms part of the central team, based in Raploch, Stirling, with some flexibility for home working (staff are currently working from home due to Scottish Government guidance).
