This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and help shape and develop our work with disabled people across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

We’re looking for an experienced payroll officer who is ready to progress into a managerial role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing day-to-day leadership & guidance to our payroll and financial management service teams to ensure accurate, seamless, efficient, and timely execution of our payrolls in accordance with UK laws, regulations and company policies, and drive process improvement/standardisation across payroll activity.

Our Payroll Team currently provides a comprehensive, computerised payroll service for an average of 650+ Personal Assistant Employers who are employing around 1,000+ Personal Assistants per month. The Personal Assistant Employers figures continue to increase at a steady rate. The number of PAs employed fluctuates monthly.

The Financial Management Service provides financial support of holding bank accounts in service users’ names to ensure that they can access SDS care packages. This service means that we ensure all payroll is paid on time and correctly, we also support the service user with the management of this account. The number of service users can also fluctuate however, an average of around 150-200 service user’s access this service per month.

We are currently looking for an Employment Support Officer to support an established team whose joint approach is to provide an inclusive service for carers in all aspects of Independent Living.

Ideally, you will have experience and understanding of Self-Directed Support and have current experience of managing a caseload, working one-to-one with individuals including unpaid carers and disabled people.

After initial training in the office environment, this post will be a mix of office, home and outreach based working. The post is part of a project in partnership with VOCAL (Voice of Carers Across Lothian) and will include regular meetings and close work alongside VOCAL colleagues.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of working within a similar environment and you should be a quick learner.

After initial training in the office environment, this post will be a mix of office, home and outreach based working.

An opportunity has arisen for a housing officer to join our Bethany Homes team on a part-time basis. The Housing Officer will ensure the efficient outworking of tenancy management functions across Bethany properties across Edinburgh, including letting, inspecting and management of properties, whilst helping to meet occupancy targets, working closely with the tenants to provide the highest level of care, to deal with the day to day issues of housing and property management, including supporting the tenants with rent and maintenance issues, thereby maximising rental income and providing administration support as required.

As part of the wider Bethany Homes Team, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the ability to work on your own whilst prioritising your workload; you will have experience and knowledge of the service user group and their surrounding issues relating to homelessness, as well as, having housing/letting management experience. Competence in the use of Microsoft office tools is essential.
